Notes

In this week, we take stock of where we have been and consider the different ways of applying anthropology to open questions that concern us. By the end of this semester, I want every student to be able to decide for themselves what anthropology means to them and what relevance it has for the issues you most want to understand.

Keywords

anthropology, the future

Discussion questions

  • What does anthropology mean to you?
  • How do you define anthropology? How does it contrast with other fields you’ve studied, and how do you think it might add to those fields?
  • Over the semester, how has your thinking changed, and how have you changed?
  • What would you like to study (more) in the future? Why?
